Hi! My name is Melissa Filbeck and I am Re-Inventing Vintage. You can read more about what that means here What Do You Mean, “Re-Inventing Vintage?”, but basically I take something discarded and make it something regarded on a shoe-string budget. As so many of us are faced with budget cuts (or crisis as we call ’em at home) I had to come up with a resourceful solution which enabled me to feel normal when my world got rocked due to back to back job loss and family issues. With no money to shop and longing for a creative outlet, I started re-inventing old yard sale and flea market finds in 2004.
It’s my goal to share with you how you, too, can take something discarded and unloved and re-invent it into something new and wonderful, uniquely yours by design.
